Dr. Irene Tang AYP Hong Kong – Sri Lanka Exchange Project 2019

It is always the intention of the Award Scheme to offer various exposures for our candidates to interact with their counterparts from around the world. Following this direction and with the great support from Dr. Irene Tang, an outbound exchange project “Dr. Irene Tang AYP Hong Kong – Sri Lanka Exchange Project 2019” is planned to be held from 18 to 24 April 2019 in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Irene Tang AYP Nepal Service Project 2018 (1-9/8/2018)

A 8-day and 7-night culture exchange project to Nepal was successfully held between 1 August and 9 August 2018. 10 Hong Kong Gold Award participants traveled to different places in Nepal with 1 Nepal Gold Award holder. Participants visited Kathmandu, Namo Buddha and local schools to have different cultural exchange activities. Participants stayed in Nepali homes in Patlekhet to experience village life. During the trip, Hong Kong participants spent valuable time with local families and friends and built up friendship with each other.

S SmarTone AYP Hong Kong – Korea Exchange Project 2017 (15-21/08/2017)

SmarTone A 7-day and 6-night culture exchange project to Korea was successfully held between 15 August and 21 August 2017. 15 Hong Kong Gold Award participants traveled to different provinces in Korea with 11 Korean Gold Award participants. They visited Seoul, Cheonan and Yeongdeok to have different cultural exchange activities. During the trip, Hong Kong participants learnt more about Korean history and culture, and built up friendship with Korean participants.

SmarTone AYP Laos Service Project 2016 (9-15/8/2016)

SmarTone AYP Laos Service Project 2016 had been held on 9 August to 15 August 2016. 14 participants from different Operating Authorities, Award Council Member Mr. Whelan Leung, Award Network Core Group Member Ms. Teresa Mok and one AYP staff went to Laos together to help building a pre-school for a village near Luang Prabang. During the trip, participants could understand Laos’s local culture and they had the chance to interact with the villagers. As the environment in Laos and Hong Kong are totally different, it was a memorable and unforgettable experience for the participants. Besides, the trip had helped them to develop their independency, improved interpersonal skills and achieved self-development.

SmarTone AYP Malaysia Canoeing Expeditions (1/8/2015 - 9/8/2015)

SmarTone AYP Malaysia Canoeing
Expedition was held on 1-9 Aug 2015.
Coached by Mr. Allen Che, Honorary Legal
Advisor & Mr. Mark Lau, Expeditions
Instructor, 11 participants who have been
trained for over 6 months departed to Port
Dickson, Malaysia for their Gold Level
Expeditions Assessment. Partnered with a
local young people, each team was geared
with a double canoe to complete the 4 Days
3 Nights assessment trip over Strait of
Malacca.

International Gold Event 2014 - Korea (23/10 - 2/11/2014)

The International Gold Event was an international event for Gold Award holders every three years. 75 Gold Award holders, coming from different places, gathered together in South Korea from 23 October 2014 to 2 November 2014. Two Gold Awardees represented Hong Kong to join this big event.

SmarTone AYP Hong Kong – Czech Republic Exchange Project 2014

9-day and 8-night exchange project had been successfully held from 22 to 30 July 2014. 12 Hong Kong delegates had explored a lot on the culture and history of Czech Republic from the journey to Holešov, countryside of Czech Republic. They had completed different types of tasks related to nature, visited the castles and museum of Štramberk, hiked and cooked outdoor. Last but not least, they travelled to Prague for visiting the historic interests.

SmarTone AYP Hong Kong – Malaysia Exchange Project 2013 (17-24/7/2013)

The exchange project had been successfully held on 24 – 30 July 2013.  The Hong Kong delegation explored the traditional culture, life style and community of Malaysia. They found friendship, love and passion in the Award Family. Please click the video link below for the exchange project review.

International Gold Event 2011 – Kenya (2-16/9/2011)

The International Gold Event (IGE) is The International Award Association’s premier global youth event. Kenya was the hosting country of the 13th IGE, which was held from 2 to 16 September 2011. Two Gold Awardees represented the Award Scheme to attend the IGE 2011.

Asia Pacific Youth Water Forum (25-30/6/2010)

The Asia Pacific Youth Water Forum hosted by the NYAA Council in Singapore was held from 25 to 30 June 2010. More than 100 young people from Singapore and nine Award participants from eight member countries in the Asia Pacific Region of The Award attended the event. Mr. CHAN Faat (SOA) represented The Hong Kong Award for Young People to participate in the forum.



International Youth Project - “TRUST THE WORLD” (7-15/8/2009)

The International Youth Project - “TRUST THE WORLD” was organized by The Interregional Youth Public Movement (the Award in the Russian Federation) during 7-15 August 2009. Two young Award Leaders from Hong Kong joined in this project, which was held at Petrozavodsk, the north-west part of Russia. Around 80 participants from Hong Kong Singapore, India, Lativia, Jordan, Turkey and Pakistan discussed youth policy, attended Award presentation ceremony and learned local culture and traditions together at the camp which they all enjoyed very much.



Training Visit to Macau for Award Leaders 2009 (13-14/6/2009)

Training Visit to Macau for Award Leaders 2009 organized by Award Programme Assessment Sub-Committee was successfully held on 13th – 14th June 2009 at Macau. 25 Award Leaders from Hong Kong joined in the training visit. They included representatives from Section Panels and Autonomous Operating Authorities and staff from Award Headquarters. They were welcomed by 29 Award Leaders from Macau.
