The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization. AYP is committed to providing non-formal education and learning for young people to explore their full potential and take positive steps towards finding their purpose, passion and place in the community.
Since 1986, AYP training camp and expeditions centre have been providing outdoor training and experiential learning to young people to challenge themselves and discover their hidden abilities.
We are now looking for a passionate candidate to fill up the post of Officer – Youth Development.

Duties:

  • Lead and coach adventure training or water sports activities
  • Assist participants to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules and plans with internal and external parties
  • Monitor various projects to achieve KPIs
  • Design and implement promotions to attract participants and boost enrollment
  • Prepare reports and provide administration support
  • Logistics arrangement for programme and event

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized university degree or above in any disciplines.
  • Level 2 or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
  • Certificate of First Aid and Sports Coaching or Water Sports Coaching.
  • At least one-year experience in program leading.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant skills and knowledge on STEAM Education, Program Planning or Recreation Management.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting.
  • 44 hours per week.
  • Shift and overnight duty required, candidates may be required to work on Saturday, Sundays or Public Holidays.
